I’m Ann Hansen and I am the owner and director of The Hansen Company. I am a chartered accountant and business advisor. I established the Hansen Company in 1986 and since then has grown into a prosperous business with a fantastic team I am unbelievably proud of.
In my spare time I enjoy doing a variety of things. Some would call me a “Jill of all trades.” I like to spend my evenings doing some creative needle work like embroidering as well as socialising with my friends and family. I like to stay active, so you can find me running around my local trails or on a scuba diving holiday. The Northwest of Scotland is a particular favourite area of mine for diving and snorkelling.
I’m Kristina Hansen and I am an experienced and qualified HR and Practice Manager who leads the Hansen Company in Busby, Glasgow. I began my career as an associate accountant in 2010, qualifying in early 2013 and moving straight management the same year. It was then that HR and Management became my sole focus.
I absolutely love working with people; clients and staff make my day. I oversee training, contracts, client queries, and ensure a smooth task flow and solid HR practices that support the company and our staff so that our clients receive the best possible service.
In my spare time, I enjoy running 10ks, travelling to see my Danish family and spending time with my partner and our little boy.
I’m David Hay and I have been a qualified chartered accountant since 1975. I am highly skilled in all aspects of accountancy. My vast amount of experience means I usually take on the most complex accounts and work with larger businesses.
In my free time I am an avid runner. I am a member of the Bellahouston Harriers running club and co-operate on a volunteer basis Parkruns Glasgow. Both running clubs are free to join so come along for a run sometime!

I am originally from East Coast Canada and moved to Glasgow to complete my Master’s degree three years ago. For most of my career I have worked as a marketer or leadership manager in many different industries, including: hospitality, education, and publishing.
In my spare time I enjoy a wide range of water and extreme sports. I thoroughly enjoy cooking and baking for my pals and love to host dinner parties every week. My friends describe me as a true wanderluster. My goal is to reach 60 countries by the end of next year!
Hello! I’m Omar Akhtar and I am the Assistant Practice Manager in our Busby office. I graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a Bachelors in Accountancy and have worked in the industry ever since. I knew from day one that an accounting career was for me.
In my spare time, in the summer months, I enjoy playing football with my mates. As the days get colder I prefer to holiday in hot places like Dubai and Morocco! They are both awesome destinations! I am also a bit of a film junkie and love to watch thriller and comedies.
Hi there, I’m Michael Clapham and I have the newest member of the Busby team. After my work experience in an accounting firm during my last year of secondary school, I knew then that I wanted to be a chartered accountant. I am a recent graduate from the University of Edinburgh and studied Accounting and Finance. I lived and worked in London my first year out of university while I worked towards my ICAS certification. I have now completed my first year of the program and look forward to continuing my studies while working as a Senior Associate at the Hansen Company.
Besides being passionate about accounting, I am also a passionate saxophone player and hope to join a local jazz band in Glasgow in the near future. I also like to get creative! I really enjoy sewing and knitting projects and making dinner for my friends and family.
